How To Teach Composition Remotely (with a little help from some Cereal)
I absolutely love it when fellow teachers get creative with my teaching tools. After all, my motto for Fistful of Notes is; Because a good teaching tool shouldn’t just work on Tuesday with the perfect student. Lou Ann Pope emailed me with some wonderfully creative ideas on using my Cereal Composition activity remotely. So, a few weeks back, she and I chatted and recorded our ideas to share with you! Click here for more information or to purchase my Cereal Composition Activity or the Cereal Composition bundle.
Lou Ann’s teaching tips and ideas are always so well thought out and her enthusiasm is infectious. I always learn so much from her. Incorporating composition into remote teaching is something we all need ideas for right now, so her timing is impeccable too! Lou Ann is a Creative Consultant for Tonara Studio (link in right sidebar) and not only does she give us lots of ways to take this activity out of the cereal box, she shows how she does it remotely through the Tonara Studio platform. You can absolutely use her ideas with email, messaging, or a meeting platform. But, did you know that you can use Zoom and Google Hangouts right from your Tonara Studio desktop and have everything you need for your studio organized in one place?

Many thanks to Lou Ann for taking the time to talk with us and for all her creative ideas. A shout out goes to the very patient Nicole Douglas (Tonara Studio Creative Consultant). She edited our conversation so beautifully and actually did the screen recording as we chatted. The music you hear in the intro is Once Again by Ben Tissot of www.bensound.com.
